Parks and recreation in Scotland County is about involving people of all backgrounds and stages of life in a broad spectrum of play and pursuits. The county has 14 public parks, most of them equipped with creative playground equipment for kids.
Looking for fun? We have an 18-hole disc golf course and the Splash Pad, a very-cool water playground open all summer when school’s out, plus weekends in late spring and late summer. Our spectrum runs from three challenging 18-hole golf courses, to hiking and jogging, to the Lumber River Canoe Trail.
The county also features 16 tennis courts and numerous baseball diamonds. We also have youth leagues in all major sports, as well as summer camps.
County residents also have a passion for adult sports, especially basketball and volleyball. And our Scotland Place Senior Center has a full menu of recreational activities for seniors.
So, c’mon out and bring the family. Scotland County is a great place to play.
